A short page, because we use few cookies. Nothing beyond the essentials is set until you agree, and declining leaves every page on this site fully available.

What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to keep, so that it can recognise something on your next request — for example, that you have already answered the cookie banner. Cookies cannot read files on your device or run programs.
Our approach
When you first arrive, a banner asks what you are willing to allow. Until you answer, only strictly necessary cookies are set. Analytics and marketing categories start switched off, and they stay off if you choose Reject all. Rejecting does not restrict any content, hide any review or degrade the site in any way — every page works identically either way.
We also run Google Consent Mode v2 with every storage category denied by default, so that no measurement tool can set storage or transmit identifiers before you have chosen.

We do not use social network tracking pixels, advertising exchanges, data brokers, session recording or fingerprinting, and we do not embed content that loads third-party cookies without your choice.
Changing your mind
You can reopen the cookie choices at any time and change them:
You can also delete cookies in your browser settings, or block them entirely. If you delete the sd_consent cookie, the banner will appear again on your next visit, because the record of your choice is exactly what that cookie holds.
Do Not Track
There is no agreed standard for how sites should respond to browser Do Not Track signals. Since we set nothing optional without express consent, the practical outcome for a reader with Do Not Track enabled is the same either way.
