Overview

Cascades Langley is the smallest full casino hotel in this digest and the most straightforwardly useful. Casino floor, a 78-room Coast hotel, a conference centre and a summit theatre all sit in one complex in the middle of Langley, forty-five minutes east of Vancouver.

The floor holds roughly 900 slot machines and 45 tables across about 60,000 square feet. Nothing here is trying to be a destination. It is a well-kept regional room with reasonable minimums, a busy Friday and a hotel you can walk to in thirty seconds.

Its place in the digest is as the benchmark for the format most Canadians will actually encounter: a mid-size casino with a hotel attached, serving a region rather than a tourist market. On those terms it does the job well.

The casino floor

Slots & slot machines
About 900 machines, a mix of current video slots and older reel cabinets, well maintained and rarely all occupied.
Table games
Roughly 45 tables — blackjack, roulette, baccarat and card games, at the lowest minimums of the BC properties reviewed here.
Poker room
A small poker area running cash games on a limited schedule.
Sportsbook
Screens in the lounge rather than a dedicated sportsbook room.
Live casino
Live dealer tables through the pit with electronic terminals nearby.
High rollers & VIP
A modest high-limit section; this is not a high roller property and does not pretend to be.

Machine and table counts are approximate and were last checked in May 2026. Licensed gaming in British Columbia is overseen by the British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC) with the Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch.

Hotel & resort

The attached Coast Hotel runs to 78 rooms — clean, quiet, contemporary and priced for the Fraser Valley rather than for Vancouver. There is a fitness room and conference space, and the connection to the casino and the theatre is fully indoors.

On site

  • 78-room attached hotel
  • Conference and banquet centre
  • Summit Theatre
  • Fitness room
  • Free parking
  • Restaurants and bar on site

Dining

Match Eatery & Public House
The main room — pub food, screens, and busy every night of the week.
Buffet
Small and functional, with a short service window.
Coffee and counters
Quick service beside the floor.

Entertainment

The Summit Theatre programmes comedy, tribute acts and community events, and the conference centre is one of the main event spaces in the Fraser Valley. Neither is a reason to travel, but both keep the property busy.

Verdict

7.6 editorial score out of 10
Langley, British Columbia

The clearest example in the digest of the regional casino hotel done properly. Worth a night if the Fraser Valley is on your route; not worth a detour from Vancouver.
