Overview

River Rock is the largest casino property in British Columbia and the most useful one to know about, because it solves a problem no other Canadian casino hotel solves: it sits ten minutes from Vancouver International Airport, directly on the SkyTrain line into downtown, with its own marina on the Fraser River. You can land, check in, eat well and never touch a car.

The floor runs to about 100,000 square feet with roughly 1,100 slot machines and around 100 gaming tables. The table mix is the story here — Metro Vancouver plays baccarat at a volume that surprises visitors from the east, and the mini-baccarat pit is often the busiest part of the room. The poker room is the strongest in the province.

The resort half holds 396 rooms across two buildings, a spa, a well-regarded set of restaurants and a 1,000-seat show theatre. It is a city hotel with a casino in it rather than a destination resort, and it plays that role better than any property in the west.

Around 1,100 machines, a smaller fleet than the Ontario giants but a well-curated one, with a strong high-limit slot room and current-generation cabinets throughout.
Table games
Roughly 100 tables. Baccarat and mini-baccarat dominate, with a deep blackjack spread, roulette, pai gow and several card games alongside.
Poker room
The best poker room in British Columbia — daily Texas Hold'em cash games at several stakes and a long-running tournament series with professional dealers.
Sportsbook
A sports lounge with screens and seating; sports wagering in BC runs through provincial channels rather than an in-house book.
Live casino
Live dealer tables throughout the pit, supported by electronic table terminals for lower minimums.
High rollers & VIP
Extensive private gaming salons with their own cage, dedicated hosts and 24/7 VIP service. River Rock caters to high rollers more seriously than any other property west of Ontario.
