Casino hotel review · Last checked June 2026
The Maritimes' only purpose-built casino hotel: tower, spa, event centre and floor in one complex.
Casino New Brunswick was built from scratch in 2010 as a complete property rather than a floor with rooms bolted on, and it remains the only purpose-built casino hotel in Atlantic Canada. A 126-room hotel, a spa, three restaurants, a conference centre and a 2,000-seat event centre share the complex with the casino floor on Moncton's northwest edge.
The floor itself is modest: roughly 600 slot machines and 20 tables across about 24,000 square feet. Nobody would call it a gaming destination. What it does offer is the full casino hotel format in a region that otherwise has none, executed cleanly and priced well below the national average.
New Brunswick's minimum gaming age is 19. The property sits beside the Trans-Canada Highway near the Magnetic Hill attractions, which makes it a driving stop rather than a walkable city stay.
Machine and table counts are approximate and were last checked in June 2026. Licensed gaming in New Brunswick is overseen by the Gaming, Liquor and Security Licensing (Department of Justice and Public Safety).
The 126-room hotel is the best accommodation attached to any casino in Atlantic Canada — contemporary rooms, a proper spa, an indoor pool and a conference centre that does steady business through the week. Rates are markedly lower than the national casino hotel average.
The 2,000-seat event centre is the property's strongest asset, booking national touring acts, comedy and boxing throughout the year. In the Moncton market it is one of the main venues, and its calendar drives hotel occupancy more than the casino floor does.
The Maritime entry that actually delivers the format. Book it around an event, use the spa, and set your expectations for the floor to match a room of 600 machines rather than 3,000.
