The older, cheaper, louder Niagara floor — no tower of its own, and it works better for it.

Casino hotel review · Last checked July 2026
Canada's largest casino floor, with a hotel tower built into the cliff above the Horseshoe Falls.
Fallsview is the property that defines the category in Canada. It is cut into the escarpment directly above the Horseshoe Falls, so the casino floor, the theatre, nine restaurants, a spa and a 374-room hotel tower all occupy one continuous building with a view that no competitor can buy its way into.
Scale is the headline — roughly 200,000 square feet of casino floor, close to 3,000 modern slot machines and around 130 gaming tables, which makes this the largest single casino floor in the country. What keeps it from feeling like an aircraft hangar is the zoning: ceiling heights change, the Grand Hall under its glass dome gives arrivals a fixed point, and the high-limit rooms sit on a separate level entirely.
The reason it scores as high as it does, though, is the resort half. A visitor who never touches a gaming table still gets a 1,500-seat theatre with a real touring calendar, a full spa, a shopping galleria and a range of restaurants from food court to dry-aged steak. The casino experience is the centre of gravity; it is not the only thing in the building.
Machine and table counts are approximate and were last checked in July 2026. Licensed gaming in Ontario is overseen by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO).
The 374-room tower is the most in-demand casino hotel accommodation in Canada and prices accordingly. Standard rooms are generous by national norms in a warm, conservative palette; the upper-floor suites are where the budget is visible. Falls-view rooms carry a real premium and are worth it once. Spa, indoor pool and fitness are all reachable without stepping outside, which in a Niagara February matters more than it sounds.
The Fallsview Theatre is the busiest casino venue in the country, programming international touring acts, comedy and tribute shows most weeks of the year. Ticketed shows are open to everyone; you do not have to set foot on the casino floor to attend, and the theatre has its own entrance and coat check.
If you see one casino hotel in Canada, see this one. The scale is unmatched, the resort side is complete rather than decorative, and the setting does work no design budget could replicate. Go mid-week and outside July and August if the rate matters.
