Overview

Club Regent is one of two crown-operated casinos in Winnipeg and the more interesting of the pair. The 2010 expansion added an event centre, a large bingo hall and a set of saltwater aquariums that run through the public areas — an unusual touch that gives the property a character the format rarely has.

The floor holds roughly 1,200 slot machines and 25 tables. Manitoba's minimum age is 18. There are no rooms on site, so this is an evening rather than a stay, but Winnipeg's hotel stock is a ten-minute drive away and priced accordingly.

Its inclusion in the digest rests on the bingo hall and the event centre. Bingo at this scale has largely disappeared from Canadian casinos, and the room here still runs a full daily schedule to a genuinely loyal crowd.

The casino floor

Slots & slot machines
Around 1,200 machines, refreshed steadily, with a modest high-limit area and wide aisles.
Table games
Roughly 25 tables — blackjack, roulette and a small set of card games, at low minimums.
Poker room
No dedicated room; poker appears on a limited schedule.
Sportsbook
Screens in the lounge; sports wagering in Manitoba runs through provincial channels.
Live casino
Live dealer tables in the pit, with electronic terminals alongside.
Bingo
A large, purpose-built bingo hall with a full daily programme — the busiest in western Canada and one of very few left inside a casino.
High rollers & VIP
Limited. This is a community-facing property rather than a high roller room.

Machine and table counts are approximate and were last checked in May 2026. Licensed gaming in Manitoba is overseen by the Manitoba Liquor & Lotteries, regulated by the Liquor, Gaming and Cannabis Authority.

Hotel & resort

No accommodation on site. Winnipeg's downtown and airport hotel clusters are both about ten to fifteen minutes away by car, and rates in this city are among the lowest of any provincial capital.

On site

  • No rooms on site
  • Event centre with 1,400 seats
  • Large bingo hall
  • Saltwater aquariums through the public areas
  • Restaurants and lounge
  • Free parking

Dining

Match Eatery & Public House
The main room — pub food, screens and a steady local crowd.
Buffet
Functional, well priced and busy at weekends.
Counters and coffee
Quick service beside the floor and the bingo hall.

Entertainment

The 1,400-seat event centre programmes concerts, comedy and community events, and the bingo hall runs sessions daily. Between them they keep the property busy in a way the gaming floor alone would not.

Verdict

7.5 editorial score out of 10
Winnipeg, Manitoba

Not a casino hotel, but the best casino evening in Manitoba and the last serious bingo room in a Canadian casino. Sleep downtown and drive out.
